Almost each report, as we have seen in the last few months stating that an iPhone for Verizon is on the path indicated that the iPhone will support 3 G network of Verizon only, not its just-launched 4 G LTE network. The Apple rumor site raises however, differ.
Quoting but one whose source "we believe credibility" (be sure that you have a grain of salt, preferably a large), MacDailyNews says iPhone Verizon rumours - which, of course, has yet to confirm - will "SP-capable" and that the carrier should consider marketing as the only "SP iPhone" autour.
The MacDailyNews source claims that Verizon has been busy personal training on the new iPhone, which could be announced "immediately after" Christmas - apparently to give and AT & T a little breathing room for the iPhone holiday sales.
Verizon has launched its new 4 G LTE network barely a week earlier, with coverage in 38 cities, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.
For now, Verizon sells a pair of modems SP: LG and the other by Pantech. The carrier said that MS-compatible smartphones sold in the middle of next year will be, but he did tip its hand on which Ms smartphones come first.
One of the biggest reasons that many observers - including myself - that is the first iPhone Verizon would be only 3 G is because Ms Verizon network provides limited coverage at the present time.
But MacDailyNews says that iPhone Ms rumors would be backward compatible with existing 3 G in the Verizon network which covers most of the country.
Another interesting but unconfirmed tidbit in the position of MacDailyNews is that Apple initial plan was to have a generation, iPhone Ms-only 5 ready for next summer, but that Steve Jobs is "compromise"that various American carriers "appear together their act of Ms faster." ""
"Tempting Stuff, but even the bloggers at MacDailyNews admit that they" cannot independently confirm the information at the moment "â", and frankly, I just don't think the rumor.
Why not? Consider the first iPhone, which came as a single EDGE at the time (mid-2007), combined when there are already several 3 of G-enabled smartphones on the market (such as the Motorola Q, Palm Treo 700 p and the HTC Touch, to name a few.) The reason, according to the jobs: Smart 3 G games were "not low power enough" and "took too much physical space.
If Apple is preparing an iPhone for Verizon (and remember, Apple has yet to confirm) I guess is that Cupertino would follow the same pattern that with the original iPhone, hang with a tried-and-true data technology first before to jump to a next generation network on the road, after the kinks (like this) have been resolved.
Does not say Apple's strategy is the person, by the way †"just that Apple made before and I'll bet they're going to do once more."
This is my prediction-initiated: an iPhone Verizon g only 3 starting next year, with a version of SP addition later than 2012 2011 or (more likely).
But hey - I was wrong before.
What do you think: Verizon iPhone work on the sp network rumors? Or Apple will play it safe and wait to go to the way in which the MS?

Correction: In my original post, I incorrectly stated the number of modems SP from Verizon; two models are currently for sale, not a single. Apologies for the goof.
