CHARLOTTE, N.C., December 17, 2010/PRNewswire / - Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR), the contractor for the SOR-1 satellite began environmental tests of SOR - 1, the first satellite in the operational programme adapted space designed to support the combatant command. Trials will validate satellite performance in an environment of test-as-you-fly.

Payload exploits the latest evolution of multispectral sensor Goodrich SYERS-2, the primary imaging sensor used in the U - 2 reconnaissance aircraft.
