Epson (at http://www.epson.com) says its U.S. print $ 299.99 artisan 835 everything all-in-one and analysis solution enables more rapid 4 x 6-inch Planet photo printing speeds. We argue with that printer is, indeed, very fast. And 835 artisan offered more transparent, wireless setup that I never tried for an all-in-one.
The craftsman is capable of wireless network for remote printing and touts a panel touch multifunction 7.8 inches with a 3.5 inch LCD screen which facilitates its installation and its use (on Mac, it works with Mac OS X 10.4 and above). Touch screen illuminates only of buttons that you need for a particular function.
Artisan 835 was versatile. Paper cassette features a sheet of 20 dedicated Lac photo media up to 5 x 7 inches and can hold up to 120 sheets of paper. Epson all-in-one print on a variety of media 3.5 x 5 inches to 8.5 x 14 inches.
Print output is superb. Text and graphics are sharp. Photos look great, especially in Best mode. They are colourful and dynamic and detailed than any all-in-one prints that I've ever used.
Outside for printing, you can use the all-in-one to scan, copy or fax documents. (Is anyone actually fax more?) Tray color 48-bit has an optical resolution of 4800 dpi and a maximum resolution up to 9600 x 9600 dpi interpolated. Practice analysis - several features include PDF, memory, USB flash drive, computer and network card. If you are scanning and retouching old photos, you should consider a dedicated photo scanner. But for most of us Epson all-in-one scanning and copying functionality will be more than sufficient.
835 Craftsman is not small to 25 pounds, 18 x 18 x 8-inch storage and 18 x 26 x 8 inches while printing with output tray is extended. Yet, it is not too large, taking into account all the features you get. It has a feeder doc 30 automatic days that folds in the lid when not in use and a built-in card reader so for example, you can print pictures without connection to your Mac. Is supported in SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Pro DUO, xD-Picture, Compact Flash card devices compatible with PictBridge and USB flash drives.
Craftsman comes with five standard capacity 99 color cartridges (CYM more Light Cyan and Light Magenta), as well as a high capacity 98 black cartridge. For those who prefer high capacity cartridges five 99 colors come in a high capacity cartridge.
Keep the 835 craftsman "fed" with ink is cheap. Black ink cartridge high capacity 98 and 99 standard capacity five color cartridges will set you back about 70 bucks for the purchase of the multi-pack of colour as opposed to each individually packaged color cartridge (which I definitely recommend). Buy six high-capacity 98 cartridges ink colour multi-pack costs approximately $98. But it is the price of good print quality, it seems.
Hardware review of the Epson say l'artisan takes supported iOS 4.2 update which allows printing wireless on iPhone Apple and iPad. However, my iPad could not "find" the Epson device. Hopefully, this will be rectified in the near future, as Apple said that printers more will be supported (as I write this, only some HP printers in charge of the AirPrint).
If you don't much color printing, a cheaper that 835 artisan could option suit you better. But if you print multiple photos, photo books, greeting cards, etc., this all-in-one will give you incredible exit - and quickly.
