MINNETONKA Minnesota - Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today introduced the ConnectPort X 3 H a robust programmable cellular gateway for monitoring Active Remote under difficult conditions. Featuring the advanced capabilities of battery power and NEMA 4 X / IP66 pregnant to protect the gateway of water, dust and dirt, ConnectPort X 3 H is ideal for monitoring of the tank, pipeline, agriculture, utility and robust applications. ConnectPort X 3 H is integrated with iDigi?, Platform Computing cloud service, which makes it easy to manage remote devices and integrate information device back-end enterprise systems.

ConnectPort X 3 H provides global connectivity to remote devices and device/sensor via GSM GPRS cellular network network. This is class 1, title 2 certified and offers several options of power, including pipes, battery or the battery Panel solar charger for harsh environments where power is not available. Advanced features including a sleep function that stops the device when it is not executed to conserve battery power management.

ConnectPort X 3 H is available with an optional built-in XBee? ZigBee module enabling the bridge to connect to a small network enabled ZigBee wireless devices or sensors for the aggregation of local data over a cellular network. It also includes an analog I/O, digital serial port RS-232 or I/O for direct wire connection option. Optional internal GPS is also available for asset tracking.

Featuring an easy-to-use development environment, the ConnectPort 3 H X can be programmed to open source Python or implementation of the integration of Device (iDigi DIA) of iDigi. It also includes a familiar Eclipse-based integrated development environment that allows Web developers to quickly develop embedded applications.

The ConnectPort X 3 H shipped is ready and available for eligible clients iDigi starts at a price of $438 and generally available in January 2011.
